Problematic Esports Signs Safir Sodouri

Last updated:

Problematic Esports has added Safir “SafirSnipezGOLD” Sodouri to their NHL 20 roster, making this their second signing in recent days.

Sodouri has built a name for himself in the community this season by performing strongly in the second season of the Toronto Maple Leafs’ Gaming League. He won the second LAN qualifier back in December 2019, and he finished third overall at the Grand Finals earlier this month, taking home $1,250 CAD as a result.

“Problematic Esports has expressed interest in signing me for quite some time, which meant a lot to me. I didn’t feel ready to take that next step in my competitive gaming career until my recent success in Leafs Gaming League Season 2,” Safir told TDIHockey. “I’m excited for what’s ahead, and especially to work with JrPens91 and HowtoChel. This is an opportunity for me not only to grow as a competitive player but also to branch out as a member of the NHL community. I am excited for what’s ahead.”

The acquisition marks Problematic Esports’ second EA NHL-related move in five days. Problematic announced the signing of accomplished former player HowtoChel as head coach and manager on February 11.
