Problematic Esports Adds HowtoChel as EA NHL Manager and Head Coach

Last updated:

Problematic Esports has added longtime EA NHL community member, and former pro player Aaron “HowtoChel” Altmeyer as manager and head coach of their NHL esports roster, the organization announced Tuesday.

Founded by Ontario native Lucas Tymchuk, Problematic Esports competes across four different games with a strong focus on NHL. Kasimir Kaskisuo, a Finnish goaltender in the Toronto Maple Leafs organization, helped launched Problematic Esports in 2019 and remains involved in the organization. Problematic’s roster includes several notable EA NHL players, including David “JrPens” Roebuck, who finished second in the inaugural NHL Gaming World Championship in 2018. JrPens ranked 13th in TDI’s February 2020 Player Power Rankings.

HowtoChel is what would be considered one of the ‘original’ NHL streamers. He also qualified for the US regionals of the 2018 NHL Gaming World Championship where he pulled off an unforgettable 1st round win against his then-teammate Michael “NugeTV” Nugent.

This appears to be a good move for HTC, as he hangs up his controller and focuses on sharing his knowledge and experience with the next generation of professional EA NHL players on an up-and-coming roster.
